Tip Jar for Kickapoo Cafe Staff

On March 18th, we had to close our doors for the foreseeable future to ensure the health & wellbeing of all staff, customers and community members during the COVID-19 global health crisis. While our family of baristas and kitchen staff is receiving their regular wages for two weeks, we can’t be sure what will happen after that. And in the meantime, we recognize the significant loss of income our co-workers are facing in the absence of tips. Like most workers in the food & beverage industry, tips make up a big part of the take-home pay.


It is in our nature to serve you––from pour-overs to scones, and maybe a bad pun on a hard day. And so it isn’t easy to ask for your direct support. But we want to support our team of baristas and kitchen staff and rally our communities to get them through this challenging time.   


We’ve started a virtual tip jar in hopes of offering some assistance to all our team members in these uncertain times. Please consider contributing any amount you are able––every little bit helps! 100% of the funds raised here will be divided equitably among all three of the cafes’ staff.
