Support Sparrows Staff

Sparrows Coffee's Wealthy St cafe has a small staff of only nine people, and although their shifts only overlap a little, they are still very tight and take good care of each other. So when COVID -19 made its way to Grand Rapids, we decided to close the cafe entirely on 3/13/20 for the sake of their safety, and for our own peace of mind that we are not contributing to the spread of the virus. We wanted to take care of our people, first and foremost.

Of course, this has not been easy. We miss our friends, our regulars, and each other, but we are hopeful that we will re-open and be stronger together after this is over. The staff, however, has lost all income during this time.

We are asking for your help in paying the cafe staff during this time that we are closed. These are the folks that remember your name, your drink, and what you told them you were excited about the other day. They noticed you every time you came in, and made the effort to connect with you. They are damn good at their jobs, and we want them to be there when we re-open.

Please consider contributing whatever you are able to at this time to help them out. All donations will go directly to Taylor, who will distribute it amongst the staff.
